Welcome to the first Dosu Drop of 2026! This month, it's all about updates. We launched a new approval flow for document updates and improved version history UI. We've also extensively updated our own public docs to better reflect the current state of our features. To keep your coding agent up to date with the latest knowledge, our MCP Server is now available for enterprise customers to try. Finally, we know many of you are eager to sync docs on external platforms, so we're starting to let a small group of design partners take it for a spin - read on for more details.
Accept or decline doc updates
Last month, we started showing Dosu's doc updates under the Review tab. Now you can also choose to explicitly accept or decline Dosu's proposed changes to your documentation. To opt in to this behavior, go to your Space settings, scroll down to the Knowledge Base section and disable the "Auto Publish" option. With Auto Publish turned off, you'll see updates that are "Pending Review" appear in your Review inbox:

If Dosu's update looks good, press "Accept" to publish it; otherwise, press "Decline" and we'll try to learn from the feedback to improve update quality going forward.
Note that Auto Publish is still enabled by default, so if you prefer fully automatic updates, you don't need to take any action - the flow will remain the same.
Improved version history UI
To help make it easier to review changes, weve also improved the UI for displaying the changes between document versions.

The updated UI will highlight the structure of the underlying markdown, which we think makes it easier to tell what changed at a glance.
MCP Server preview available for enterprises
We've been building Dosu with AI-native workflows in mind, so it's only natural that we're building an MCP Server to connect your coding agent to all the knowledge captured by Dosu. Anthropic's 2026 State of AI Agents Report found that the two biggest challenges for companies using AI agents are poor data quality and limited integration with existing systems. The Dosu MCP server addresses both. It's a unified source of reliable, token-efficient context distilled from all your Dosu docs and the organizational knowledge in your external data sources.

Users on the Enterprise plan are now eligible to activate the Dosu MCP Server - just reach out to us by email, Slack or Discord. And for those of you who aren't on the Enterprise plan, don't worry - we're polishing up the self-serve experience and we'll be making the MCP Server available to everyone soon!
External docs sync preview
Continuing the theme of integration with existing systems, one of our most frequently-requested features is the ability for Dosu to import and maintain documentation from external platforms. We've been making good progress, so we're looking for more design partners to kick the tires on our import-and-sync pipeline. We have preliminary implementations for managing docs stored in Notion, Confluence and GitHub markdown files. We'd love to walk you through the process and get your feedback on how to improve the user experience so we can take it live for everyone! You can set up a meeting directly or contact us on Discord.
Making your OSS Project AI Ready
We just published a new write-up about the impact of agentic development on the open source community. There's no one-size-fits-all way to prepare for AI contributions, as shown in our deep dive into two projects: tldraw closed external PRs entirely, while goose taught Copilot to review like a maintainer. Check it out if you want to learn more about how Dosu can help you craft AI-friendly documentation like AGENTS.md to give agents the institutional context they need to make useful contributions.
That's all for this month. We've got big plans for February, so expect to see a lot more from Dosu over the next few weeks. As always, thank you for using Dosu!
